I think it would be a great book to drag someone out of a reading slump. I flew through it it’s fun but it makes you feel something. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Despite this, it’s a great novel about self-discovery, and really coming into your own, and I think that’s a great lesson for anyone. It all starts when American good girl Allyson-better known as Lulu- decides to spend just one day in Paris with Dutch hottie Willem. I rated it just short of 5 stars because while it did exceed my expectations, I did struggle with some of the characters, and I was occasionally frustrated with them, but it didn’t detract much from the book itself. It made me feel happy and sad and longing… It definitely exceeded my expectations of just being a cutesy-happy-romance novel.

I felt a lot more from this book than I thought I would. I expected the entire book to be about this one day that these two strangers spent together, but I was pleasantly surprised when the book continued after this one day, following Allyson as she moves forward from her adventure with Willem. This young adult series was written for ages 12-17, but can be enjoyed by adults too.
